How do I get my hard drive to work to work with a SATA to USB cable

l have a hard drive from an old computer and l wanna hook it up to my new 
bran-bran
computer. l bought a SATA & IDE to USB cable and connect the old hard

drive to the new computer. The new computer shows that the USB is

connected, but does not show the drive. When l try to initialize the disk

under ''Disk Management'' it tells me that the ''The Device is not

Ready''. The old hard drive used to be the one that booted first on the 
old PC so I am wondering if this is the reason why it is not working? What

As the drive was used to boot on the old computer it is  
angel cakes
probably set to be the MASTER, try setting the jumpers to SLAVE

Google the drivers for the hard drive install and re connect!!
